Episode 7: Fresh Air On The Job

Women Who Work For The National Park Service & US Forest Service

We’ve always been curious about what it’s like to work for the National Park Service or the US Forest Service – so we decided to ask you. This episode is a collection of your experiences and anecdotes. We learned that there is no one experience to be had working for these agencies.

We talk with Miranda Leconte, a seasonal US Wilderness Forest Service Ranger; Lindsey Elise, a former member of a National Park Trail Crew and one half of the blog “Tandem Trekking”; and Brittany Aae, a former climbing ranger in the NPS and all-around athlete.

Also features Jen Smith, a former USFS employee; Brittany Weber, a current Forest Ranger; Kayla Swerin, a current USFS employee; a current National Park Ranger; and Amanda Monthei, a Wildland Firefighter.
