Introducing Where We Walk, a new She Explores mini-series made in collaboration with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, made possible with support from REI.
This very special six-part series explores the women who help make the Appalachian Trail what it is today, as well as those who are helping to shape its future. Over the course of six weeks, hosts Gale Straub and Laura Borichevsky will be taking a closer look at how the history of the Trail has included and excluded women, the next generation of caretakers, overcoming challenges to make a thru-hike possible, the wildlife that inhabits this corner of the United States, and more.
The series kicks off next Monday, September 21 with listener memories from the A.T. — day hikes, section hikes, and thru-hikes — and the ripple effects these experiences have in our every day lives.
