Sustainable Fashion Meets Active Outdoor

I’m from a mountain town, so any piece of my wardrobe that can transition from a day of adventure to grabbing drinks later with friends is welcome in my closet. After test driving the Jelt on a local trail as well a night out, I found that this playful little belt fits that niche perfectly. They’re available in solid colors, too, but I preferred this patriotic color scheme that lends itself to cute power clashing.

Another major plus of the Jelt is this: we’ve all carefully selected an outfit only to find a buckle bulge that hangs out uninvited near our bellybuttons—or forced us to do that wannabe-casual-half-shirt- tuck thing that doesn’t always work. The Jelt’s flat, round, clasp-style buckle stayed more or less flush to my waistband, doing a lot to eliminate that problem altogether. If you don’t feel like hiding it away even though that’s part of the Jelt’s charm, it also looked chic (and not too pulled together) when paired with a solid shirt and boyfriend jeans. It also functioned quietly and well underneath my flannel on an afternoon hike.

The Jelt is also sustainable: it’s made of 100% recycled water bottles. We make a lot of choices when we’re shopping, and fast fashion is one that we can’t afford to make. I love finding outdoor apparel and accessory companies that consider the outdoors in their manufacturing process.

I’m a firm believer that being an outdoorsy girl doesn’t mean sacrificing style in the name of functionality, and the minimalist look and versatility of the Jelt really won me over.
